We are seeking an exceptionally strong litigation attorney who is ready for accelerated learning and career growth. This role will be a key member of the legal team supporting litigation, dispute resolution, and risk management across the organization. Key Responsibilities Litigation and Dispute Management *Manage a wide range of pre-litigation and litigation matters, including commercial disputes, contract claims, insurance matters, customer and vendor disputes, property damage claims, collection matters, and other litigation affecting the company. *Oversee outside counsel, including developing litigation strategy, reviewing pleadings, managing discovery, and preparing witnesses. *Conduct legal research to provide advice to business partners. *Prepare and review responses to demand letters, litigation-related filings, settlement agreements, and other related documents. *Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials. *Manage responses to subpoenas, governmental inquiries, and other third-party information requests. *Monitor developments in relevant laws and regulations and advise internal clients regarding legal and operational impacts. Bankruptcy, Collections, and Claims Recovery *Manage filings on bankruptcy matters, including proofs of claim, administrative claims, and monitoring proceedings affecting Zayo's interests. *Partner with Accounts Receivable and finance teams on collection strategies and recovery efforts. *Support damage recovery initiatives involving network facilities, infrastructure, and third-party claims. Risk Mitigation *Provide advice to business leaders on legal risks and contract interpretation issues. *Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop policies, processes, and training that minimize legal exposure. *Support risk management initiatives and strategic projects. Qualifications *Experience with network communications and digital infrastructure industry preferred. *Excellent negotiation and communication skills. *Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels. *Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills. *Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities. Education & Experience *Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admission to the bar in the relevantjurisdiction. *Three to six (3 - 6) years of legal experience with a focus on litigation Estimated base salary range: $89,800 - $138,200 USD/annually. #LI-HYBRID The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan. Additionally, this position may be eligible for certain benefits, such as health insurance, life insurance, disability retirement plans, paid time off.
