DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports the cleanliness and upkeep of Troop Headquarters buildings and grounds. Your work will ensure that indoor and outdoor areas remain safe, presentable and functional for daily use. As a Custodial Worker 1, you will perform the following duties:

  • Floor Care: Sweep, vacuum, mop, buff, and wax floors throughout the building
  • Restroom Cleaning: Clean restroom fixtures and restock supplies in designated areas
  • Waste Removal: Empty trash and recycling containers and place collected materials in outdoor receptacles
  • Surface Cleaning: Clean windows, mirrors and other surfaces and replace light bulbs as needed
  • Grounds Tasks: Clear walkways of snow and ice, apply salt, and remove litter from outdoor areas
  • Equipment Handling: Move furniture or equipment for cleaning and assist with unloading Troop supplies

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
