Job Description:

As a Project Manager, you are the delivery engine that transforms strategic vision into shipped projects. You are responsible for driving the end-to-end execution of cross-functional initiatives, managing the intricate dance between content creation, software development, service readiness, and production timelines. You don't just coordinate tasks; you own the critical path, orchestrate cross-functional dependencies, and ensure that every piece of the puzzle comes together to meet our rigorous standards for quality and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the delivery lifecycle - create project schedules and manage the end-to-end execution of defined projects. Ensure the "Definition of Done" is met across cross-functional teammates.

  • Orchestrate project handoffs - own the transition of work between project stages and functions. Identify inefficiencies in workflow and implement improvements that increase team throughput.

  • Manage cross-project dependencies - map and actively manage the critical path between curriculum writing, software feature readiness, and physical production lead times. Know where your project intersects with other initiatives and coordinate with peer project managers to prevent conflicts or delays.

  • Mitigate risks - proactively identify project risks and propose mitigation plans, and track them to resolution. Know when to escalate to leadership.

  • Operationalize rituals - facilitate planning and execution meetings, ensuring they are productive and result in clear ownership and completion of next steps.

  • Monitor resource allocation - monitor team bandwidth and work with functional leads to ensure the right people are working on the highest-priority tasks.

  • Manage vendors and partners - provide ongoing management and support to vendors and partners and ensure deliverables are met. Ensure vendor agreements are signed and payments are made.

  • Communicate regularly - create documentation, facilitate effective meetings with artifacts that drive work forward, and provide visibility

How You Work...

  • You are calm in the storm - keeping the team focused on the "next best action" even when deadlines are tight.

  • You are solutions-oriented - not just raising a risk, but you presenting three options to get back on track.

  • You are a systems thinker - looking for ways to automate administrative tasks and improve process flows so the team can maximize the time they spend on high value work.

  • You are a master of clarity - communicating with high empathy and zero ambiguity, ensuring no one ever leaves a meeting wondering what the next steps are.

  • You look for efficiencies - identifying opportunities to automate repetitive tasks, streamline workflows, and reduce administrative burden for your team.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, program coordination, or operational roles with proven track record of managing cross-functional teams and delivering complex initiatives on time

  • Bachelor's degree in business, project management, operations, education, or related field, with preference for candidates with PMP, CAPM, or similar project management certification

  • Fluency in project management methodologies including Agile/Scrum and Waterfall approaches, with ability to adapt methodology to project needs and stakeholder requirements

  • Advanced proficiency with PM tools including expert-level skills in Jira, Smartsheet, and resource planning software, with ability to build dashboards and reporting systems

  • Strong risk management and problem-solving abilities with demonstrated experience identifying potential issues early and developing multiple solution options to keep projects on track

  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills with ability to lead productive meetings, manage competing priorities, and influence stakeholders without direct authority

  • Systems thinking mindset with track record of process improvement, workflow optimization, and implementing solutions that increase team efficiency and throughput
