Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for an Audiologist to join our Pediatrics team. This role will be PRN, Monday-Friday, Days Vary

Audiologist Job Responsibilities:

  • Completes full diagnostic hearing assessments using the appropriate testing method and equipment for the patient type, diagnosis, and reason for referral.
  • Formulates and/or implements a treatment plan to address deficits and patient/family areas of concern.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, family, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors and outside contacts.
  • Demonstrates advanced communication skills necessary for effective problem-solving, and conflict resolution and facilitates group interactions to achieve desired outcomes as evidenced by team feedback and observation.
  • Demonstrates advanced clinical expertise in patient evaluation treatment and documentation.
  • Collaborates with the patient and/or family whenever possible to set treatment priorities and select activities that maximize participation in the treatment process as evidenced by feedback and observation.
  • Additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum Education: Doctoral degree in Audiology (AuD) or prior to January 1, 2008 a Master's in Audiology from an accredited institution
  • Years of Experience: No experience required
  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competency in Audiology (CCC-A)
  • License: Virginia Audiology License from the Virginia Department of Health Professions, Board of Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years of audiologist experience, including pediatrics experience
