DESCRIPTION

The Call Center Associate serves as the primary point of contact between hospital units and the Transport and Lift teams, ensuring seamless coordination of patient movement services. This role is responsible for receiving, adding, editing, and canceling job requests while prioritizing and dispatching tasks based on urgency and operational needs.

Key responsibilities include coordinating transport requests with critical care and non-critical transport teams, streamlining workflows to improve efficiency, and dispatching lift team assignments. The associate also manages break scheduling and maintains accurate break logs for both Transport and Lift staff.

This position requires strong judgment and situational awareness to assess requests, escalate and prioritize urgent needs, and manually adjust job queues when necessary to ensure timely and effective service delivery across all departments.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum two (2) years previous administrative support experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.

  • Previous experience in a call center or similar role where dispatching was part of the job duties.

  • Experience managing multi-line phones.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office applications.

  • Have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.

  • Possess the personal characteristics of professionalism, credibility, commitment to high standards, innovation, discriminating judgment and accountability.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Administrative support experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Medical terminology training and/or certificate.
  • Experience with EPIC.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $53,160 - $75,335 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $25.46 - $36.08

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
