POSITION OVERVIEW

  • Manufacturing Technician
  • Starting Pay: $24.46/hour
  • $27.74 per hour after passing 6-month probation
  • $39.05 per hour (max pay)
  • Overtime pay
    • Time worked after 40 hours of work in anyone (1) work week is paid at 1.5 times regular hourly rate of pay
    • Time worked on a holiday is paid 2 times regular hourly rate of pay (if eligible for holiday pay and holiday is worked)

Your Work Schedule and Shift Information

  • 12-hour shifts with 3-2-2 schedule
    • 5:45 am to 6:00 pm (day shift)
    • 5:45 pm to 6:00 am (night shift)
  • Shift rotation every 8 weeks (day to night or night to days)
  • Scheduled Work Pattern
    • Short week: (Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday) 36.75 hours
    • Long week: (Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday) 48.60 hours
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Plant operation is 24 hours per day, 7 days per week

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

As part of our manufacturing team, you will:

  • Support packaging and processing operations
  • Participate in equipment startup, changeovers, and shutdowns
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and partner with Maintenance
  • Calibrate systems to meet required specifications
  • Perform quality and safety checks
  • Clean and sanitize production equipment and work areas
  • Participates in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist in training new employees
  • Assist other plant areas as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment is required or other mechanical technical experience required i.e.: HVAC and/or mechanical experience
  • All employees must go through a forklift certification course and are required to drive a forklift
  • Must possess the ability to understand and effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and others in the workplace regarding work matters (our business is generally conducted in English)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, push, pull, and twist for extended periods
  • Willingness to work in hot, cold, noisy, wet, or dusty conditions
  • Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
  • Ability to follow human and food safety, quality, and grooming standards
  • Ability to wear such as protective clothing and equipment (Personal Protective Equipment -PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard/bump cap, hair/beard net, gloves, and face masks (when required)
  • Ability to work around high-speed machinery and food allergens
