Pay Rate: $24.50 per Hour (Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00pm and 11:59pm. Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00am-4:59am) ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Perform preventive maintenance on tractors, loaders, skid steers, UTVs, trailers, and other agricultural equipment.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, fuel, and engine systems.
Troubleshoot equipment failures and complete repairs in a timely manner.
Inspect equipment before and after repairs to ensure safe operation.
Change engine oil, filters, belts, hoses, bearings, brakes, and tires.
Repair and maintain hydraulic cylinders, pumps, hoses, and fittings.
- Perform welding and fabrication repairs as needed.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders.
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
- Operate equipment safely while performing repairs or testing.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns in the field when necessary.
- Communicate repair status and equipment needs with supervisors.
- Order or recommend replacement parts and maintain parts inventory.
- Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Assist with emergency repairs during critical farming operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 2-5 years of agricultural or heavy equipment mechanical experience preferred.
- Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and welding.
- Ability to read service manuals and diagnostic information.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to operate agricultural equipment safely.
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 75 pounds.
- Frequently bend, kneel, crawl, climb, and work in confined spaces.
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays when needed.
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid Class C driver's license with a clean DMV printout.
- Must be able to operate grader, tractor and special equipment.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to perform groundwork when needed.
- Must be able to work independently with or without direct supervision.
- Must be able to work at different ranch locations.
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.
