Container-Based Software Engineering Consultant

Container-Based Software Engineering Consultant - positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, Michigan). Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned worksite. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance from the worksite.  Provide expert technical guidance to application development teams concerning matters of application containerization, building, deploying, running and monitoring Cloud Native, legacy and COTS applications in Fords Container-based platforms (Kubernetes and GCP Cloud Run). Be able to work with other teams to evaluate and adopt new container, cloud and Kubernetes related technologies, and develop detailed guides, patterns, videos, workshops, sample code, reference CI/CD pipelines and utilities, members of the Ford Software Development community can use to run their applications in and migrate to, said platforms. Work with teams to identify and solve complex production and CI/CD pipeline issues while being able to dive deeply into application code.
