Responsibilities

  • The Lead Maintenance Mechanic - (Plant Operations) works under the direction of the Department Director and is responsible for operating, monitoring and maintaining all equipment in the Central Utility plant.
  • Performs preventive maintenance and or coordinates preventive maintenance with outside contracts.
  • Notifies the Department Director of equipment issues and assists in the planning of equipment replacements and budgets.
  • Conducts routine systems inspections and ensures each shift completes rounding and ongoing maintenance duties. Assists with the intake, assignment and delegation of corrective and periodic work orders related to the various systems throughout the Health Center properties.
  • Provides continuous training and updates to boiler operators.
  • Audits vendors work to ensure jobs are completed in accordance with hospital quality standards.
  • Coordinates Plant Ops staffing schedules in conjunction with the Lead Plant Operator (General Trades) to ensure adequate staffing is always maintained.
  • Supports the overall activities of the Department by coordinating tasks and manpower assignments to maximize productivity and efficient operations.

Qualifications

Job Requiremnets:

  • High School Graduate.

Job Preferred Requiremnets:

  • Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting is preferred.
