Your schedule would be Monday - Friday 7:30am - 3:30pm. You are subject to on-call hours, determined by leadership. This role is responsible for a diverse range of responsibilities that primarily support the Facility Services team and overall site operations. Success in this position requires strong time management, organizational skills, and the ability to effectively balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The Building Specialist must be adaptable, self-motivated, and capable of responding to changing business needs while maintaining a high level of service, safety, and operational excellence. In thisrole you will:
- The Building Specialist is proficient in a wide variety of skills associated with operating powered industrial equipment and maintains a Class A Forklift License. This role is responsible for supporting facility operations through material movement, meeting room setup, waste and recycling collection, lounge and common area supply management, and general building support activities. Employee will also hold a company credit card for purchasing related to the role.
- The Building Specialist will drive an estimated 110 miles per day on average.
- The Building Specialist performs a broad range of facility management functions to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained work environment. Responsibilities may include responding to facility-related issues during inclement weather events, coordinating snow and ice mitigation efforts, supporting emergency response activities, conducting routine facility inspections, and assisting with building maintenance projects. The role may also require work at heights utilizing appropriate safety equipment and procedures to perform inspections, maintenance coordination, or facility-related tasks.
- The incumbent works effectively with managers, co-workers, contractors, and external service providers while also demonstrating the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a commitment to safety are essential, as facility needs can vary daily. The Building Specialist is expected to work overtime as needed and serves as a contributing member of the team by supporting operational and facility-related initiatives throughout the site.
- Teamwork, cooperation and flexibility, along with LEAN principles of problem solving and elimination of waste are expectations of the position. Additionally, every employee is responsible for their personal safety, as well as the safety of their peers. Adherence of established safety policies and procedures, along with the reporting of all injuries and unsafe conditions, are also requirements of this position. The business needs of the department may require additions or changes to the duties of this position.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Experience in handling multiple computer systems, including internet based, and/or PC applications
- Ability to perform frequent reaching and repetitive hand and wrist motions and fine motor skills
- Ability to perform some walking, bending, stooping and heavy lifting (up to 100 pounds)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven self-starter with strong time management skills and strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Solid analytical, LEAN and root cause problem solving skills
- Organized, capable of handling the pressure of meeting deadlines and a team player
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively deal with ambiguity in daily work
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- If on the production floor, there is some noise and hearing protection required by Hallmark.
- The job will include other duties as assigned in order to support the plant objectives
- This is a climate-controlled manufacturing environment with normal physical injury hazards.
