As the Construction Estimator III, you will analyze all project documents to determine and prepare the estimated cost of a project; prepare material quantity takeoffs for the Preconstruction Services Manager to execute a competitive bid and work in a team environment with other estimators to support offices across the U.S and collaborate closely with Preconstruction Services and Project Management teams. POSITION DESCRIPTION Your top priority is to ensure your project is completed safely, accurately, on time and at (or under) budget. * Conduct estimating on a day-to-day basis * Contribute to project results by executing estimating process with few errors * Participate and drive takeoff efficiency through use of 3D technology * Partner with Preconstruction Services Managers and vendors to create accurate and on time bids KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Leadership: Lead by example and deliver high level results * Problem Solving: Make sound decisions based on information provided * Extreme Ownership: Take full responsibility and accountability for results, own decisions and actions * Discretion: Demonstrate ability to use judgment to drive solutions * Time Management: Effectively manage time and team to meet fast-paced bid schedules * Technical Skills: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, advanced knowledge in reading blueprints and understanding of specification documents, working knowledge of 3D modeling and estimating software such as Bluebeam. Skilled in using scales and scientific calculators, mechanical aptitude for understanding construction methods. * Mathematical Skills: Work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
