Job Summary

The Class B CDL Driveris responsible for safely operating an automatic Freightliner box truck to deliver HVAC materials to customer locations while providing excellent customer service. This role is primarily driving (approximately 80%) with warehouse responsibilities (20%), including loading and unloading trucks, operating a sit-down forklift, stocking materials, and maintaining a clean warehouse environment. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and comfortable using a smartphone for delivery-related tasks.

Job Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class B CDL automatic Freightliner truck to deliver HVAC materials to customer locations.
• Complete local delivery routes, with the furthest delivery approximately one hour from the branch.
• Load, unload, and secure materials to ensure safe transportation.
• Verify delivery documentation and obtain customer signatures upon delivery.
• Communicate with dispatch and supervisors regarding delivery status and route updates.
• Pick up customer returns and verify returned materials.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.
• Fuel vehicles and report maintenance concerns, accidents, or equipment issues.
• Operate a sit-down forklift to move, load, and stage materials.
• Assist with warehouse operations, including stocking, order pulling, housekeeping, and general warehouse support.
• Represent the company professionally while delivering exceptional customer service.
• Perform additional driving and warehouse duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of one (1) year of Class B CDL driving experience.
• Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Required state-issued non-excepted interstate self-certification designation.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Previous customer delivery and customer service experience.
• Experience operating a sit-down forklift.
• Comfortable using a smartphone for delivery and communication tasks.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
• Ability to safely load, unload, and secure materials.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as required.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
