Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree Supply Chain Management or Business related degree
  • 5-7 years of relevant professional experience (procurement or supply chain preferred, if applicable)
  • Proficiency with Oracle and related business/computer systems
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Solid understanding of procurement processes
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively multi-task and manage workload/buying deck
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to meet objectives and performance metrics
  • High standard of business ethics and professional conduct
  • High capability to operate autonomously and problem solve complex matters

Responsibilities

  • Lead the solicitation and preparation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotes (RFQs)
  • Perform cost analysis and evaluation of supplier proposals and quotes
  • Complete and process formal purchase orders in accordance with GDLS procedures
  • Provide customer service support to internal and external stakeholders, including resolution of payment discrepancies
  • Conduct proposal negotiations covering cost, terms and conditions, payment terms, and scope of work
  • Prepare, place, and administer purchase orders, monitoring performance to ensure compliance with requirements and scope of work
  • Implement and manage long-term agreements and contract purchase agreements
  • Support planning activities related to material and service requirements
  • Expedite parts and materials to meet program and production schedules
  • Coordinate onboarding of new suppliers, including execution of NDAs
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate procurement of goods and services
  • Partner with requestors to support supplier development initiatives
  • Ensure GDLS compliance with applicable procurement laws, regulations, and internal policies
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to senior leadership, both internal and external, as required
  • Collaborate as an active team member and assist/mentor colleagues as needed
  • Travel up to 20% as required to support business needs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Additional Information

  • Availability to work outside regular business hours as needed,to address critical issues.
