It is a great unit to build a strong core foundation in med surg and telemetry. The Cardiac Medicine unit sees patients that have procedural cardiac interventions such as NSTEMI requiring cardiac interventions, pacemakers, cardioversions, cardiac ablations, and Watchman procedures. Patients needing medical management of A-fib, and congestive heart failure. Patients may also be admitted for other medical or surgical conditions that require cardiac monitoring on a hard-wired telemetry unit (sepsis, overdose, pneumonia, COPD, pulmonary embolism, acute kidney injury). There is a mix of new grads RNs, those with 5+ years of experience, and very experienced nurses (20-30 years). Staff are passionate about bedside nursing, share their knowledge and help each other learn. A family-like culture where the team recognizes and celebrates each other's accomplishments and life events! Preceptors ensure new grad RNs are set up for success at the start of their careers with a thorough orientation. There are leadership opportunities for nurses to be involved with unit council, hospital-wide committees, educating, precepting, as well as moving into charge nurse, etc. Cardiac Medicine has 8 and 12 hour shifts available.Key Position Details:

This includes establishing an intentional therapeutic relationship between a registered nurse and a patient and family. As a leader and the integrator of care, the professional nurse has the responsibility, authority, and accountability for planning, coordinating and evaluating the patient's care needs.

Pay Range Pay Range: $44.64 to $74.33 per hour The pay described reflects the base hourly pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
