Job Overview:

Trinitas Emergency Department is one of the busiest in the state with more than 73,000 emergency visits annually. Our newly renovated Emergency Room has a total of 45 treatment rooms with separate treatment areas for families, children and seniors.

Our ER nurses recognize and effectively treat life-threatening conditions, with the ability to deploy rapid assessment and treatment of patients in highly critical situations, particularly during the initial phase of acute illness and trauma, where every second is important.

As a Registered Nurse (RN), a typical day may include:

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and recognizing subtle clinical changes, using your judgment to intervene early and advocating for your patients
• Providing safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care grounded in strong clinical judgment
• Serving as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers, offering insight that supports timely, well-coordinated care decisions
• Providing clear, compassionate education for patients and families so they feel informed, supported, and prepared for the next phase of care
• Ensuring accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record to promote continuity and patient safety
• Contributing your voice during interdisciplinary rounds, helping drive seamless communication and smooth transitions of care
• Taking an active role in a highly collaborative team environment where shared accountability and teamwork directly impact outcomes

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and hold a current American Heart Association BLS certification. ACLS upon hire or within 6 months of the start date. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is strongly preferred. Prior patient care experience and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. This position offers a 36-hour working week consisting of three 12-hour evening shifts. The scheduled shift is - 3PM-3:30AM with every other weekend and holiday rotations required.
