Job Summary:

TechSource, a Salas O'Brien Company, is seeking an experienced Program Manager to support the Scorpius Project at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). This role is responsible for leading the successful execution of a complex, multidisciplinary program supporting one of the Laboratory's highest-priority national security initiatives. The Program Manager serves as the primary interface between the customer, subcontractors, and internal leadership while overseeing program performance, staffing, budgets, schedules, risk management, and contract compliance.

Responsibilities:



  • Lead day-to-day execution of a large, multidisciplinary technical services program supporting LANL mission objectives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer leadership, project stakeholders, subcontractors, and internal management.
  • Manage program scope, schedule, budget, staffing, and overall contract performance.
  • Develop and maintain integrated program plans, resource forecasts, and staffing strategies to meet customer requirements.
  • Monitor program risks, issues, and performance metrics while implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate engineering, scientific, technical, administrative, and project management personnel across multiple workstreams.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, DOE regulations, laboratory procedures, and company policies.
  • Support financial planning, forecasting, invoicing, and overall program financial performance.
  • Manage subcontractor performance, vendor relationships, and workforce planning activities.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level briefings, program status reports, and customer presentations.
  • Collaborate with recruiting, operations, finance, and contracts teams to support rapid staffing and program execution.



Preferred Qualifications



  • Active DOE Q Clearance.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience supporting Los Alamos National Laboratory or other DOE national laboratories.
  • Experience managing cost-reimbursable or time-and-materials government contracts.
  • Familiarity with EVMS principles, project controls, workforce planning, and resource management.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams consisting of engineering, scientific, technical, and administrative personnel.


Qualifications and Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience managing complex technical programs or projects.
  • Experience supporting DOE, NNSA, DOD, or other federal government programs.
  • Demonstrated experience managing program budgets, schedules, staffing, and contract performance.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Clearance.


Travel: Occasional travel may be required in support of customer meetings, project execution, and company business.

Compensation & Benefits:

The expected base salary range for this role is $180,000 - $200,000 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
