Job Summary

Responsible for the full product lifecycle of a software-as-a-service (SaaS) application sold to external customers. Defines product vision, gathers and prioritizes requirements from subject matter experts and customers, partners with engineering to design and deliver releases, and leads go-to-market strategy and execution. Ensures the application meets security, compliance, and infrastructure requirements, including SOC II Type 2 certification.


Essential Duties

  • Defines and maintains the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for a commercially sold SaaS application, balancing customer needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility.
  • Liaises with subject matter experts (SMEs), external customers, and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and prioritize product requirements; translates requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and feature specifications.
  • Partners with engineering teams throughout the design, development, and testing phases to ensure features are delivered on time, at quality, and aligned with product intent.
  • Manages the end-to-end software release process, including release planning, versioning, release notes, customer communications, and post-release monitoring.
  • Develops and executes go-to-market strategies and programs, including pricing, positioning, packaging, sales enablement materials, and launch plans for new features and releases.
  • Owns SOC II Type 2 compliance readiness for the application; works with engineering, security, and audit teams to document controls, address findings, and maintain continuous compliance.
  • Collaborates with infrastructure and security teams to define and monitor capacity, performance, availability, and security requirements for the production SaaS environment.
  • Tracks and reports on key product metrics, customer feedback, and market trends to inform roadmap decisions and executive reporting.
  • Manages relationships with external customers, including gathering product feedback, conducting user research, and communicating roadmap and release timelines.
  • Works within agile project management processes using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar platforms.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in a SaaS or cloud-based product environment required.
  • Experience with agile tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Pragmatic Institute PMC, or equivalent product management certification is preferred. SOC 2 or security compliance training is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a commercially sold SaaS product through the full product lifecycle.
  • Strong ability to gather, document, and prioritize requirements from diverse stakeholders including customers, SMEs, and executive sponsors.
  • Experience working closely with software engineering and QA teams using agile/scrum methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of SOC II Type 2 compliance requirements and experience supporting or leading audit preparation.
  • Experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies including pricing, positioning, and launch programs for software products.
  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence and integrating AI into SaaS products.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure concepts (e.g., Azure, AWS) and the ability to collaborate effectively with infrastructure and security teams on capacity, performance, and security requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to translate technical concepts for business audiences and business needs for technical teams.
  • Experience with product analytics and customer feedback tools (e.g., Pendo, Gainsight, or similar) is preferred.
