Are you a new graduate ready to begin your nursing career, or an experienced Registered Nurse looking for a rewarding surgical nursing role that combines hands-on patient care, teamwork, and a daytime schedule? Join the Day Surgery and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team at Franklin Hospital in Farmington, Maine, as a full-time, 36-hour day shift Registered Nurse and become part of a collaborative team dedicated to providing exceptional care throughout the surgical experience.

As a Day Surgery and PACU RN, you'll provide high-quality, patient-centered care before and after surgical and procedural interventions. You'll assess patients' physical, psychological, and social needs, develop and implement individualized plans of care, monitor patients as they recover from anesthesia, administer medications and treatments, manage pain and post-operative symptoms, and help ensure patients are safely prepared for discharge.

You'll work closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate care and achieve the best possible patient outcomes. Strong communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork are essential as you respond to changing patient needs, provide education to patients and families, and ensure a safe and supportive experience from admission through recovery and discharge.

For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering up to $10,000 Sign-on bonus for all eligible Registered Nurses with 0-2 years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of experience!
o Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
o Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

Summary:
The MH Registered Nurse - Acute Care role provides high quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes. Collaborates, delegates, and communicates with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal care.
MH RN II: This level is competent in their clinical role and has demonstrated the ability to care for most patients assigned. Though not able to care for every patient type within their area of hire, demonstrates how to obtain the appropriate resources to develop required skills and knowledge over time. This level includes automatic advancement after 1 year as a RN I - must be in good standing and meets RN I requirements.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  2. Licensure/Certification: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Other certifications may be required specific to area of practice or in accordance with Department guidelines.
  3. Experience: One year of recent RN experience required. Automatic advancement from RN I level if all onboarding requirements are complete, including the New Grad Residency (where available).

The pay range for this position is (NEW GRADUATE = $35.61) $37.09to $50.17 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
