What You'll Do:

As a Cashier, you are the last touchpoint a customer has before leaving our store.

You'll:

  • Become knowledgeable on Meijer programs and promotions to best assist customers
  • Create welcoming, memorable checkout experiences that leave a lasting impression
  • Use Meijer systems to complete transactions efficiently and accurately
  • Handle cash and payments responsibly, with attention to detail
  • Communicate clearly and confidently, using friendly eye contact and positive body language
  • Answer customer questions and help resolve concerns with care
  • Build trust and connection that encourages customers to return
  • Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly

What You Bring:

  • You're 18 years of age or older
  • You enjoy working with people and providing great service
  • You're comfortable learning and using technology
  • You listen well, communicate clearly, and stay organized
  • You're dependable, detailoriented, and eager to help
  • Previous retail or customer service experience is helpful but not required
  • You have the ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods
