We have two (2) full-time Veterans Service Officer positions available in our Behavioral Health and Veterans Services Division in the Human Services Department. This position will focus on helping homeless or at-risk Veterans and their families within Snohomish County. Common duties may include assisting clients find stable housing; managing client caseloads; building relationships with local landlords; coordinating short-term rental assistance; providing emergency assistance with essential needs; assisting clients with accessing VA services and benefits; assisting recently incarcerated Veterans with reintegration upon release; connecting Veterans with vital community resources; and cultivating partnerships with other County departments and agencies. Our Veterans team is a dedicated group of Honorably discharged Veterans solely focused on helping fellow Veterans in need to improve their situation and thrive. Minimum QualificationsAssociate's degree in psychology, sociology, social work, social welfare, counseling and guidance, office administration or closely related field; PLUS two (2) years of experience performing office work with veterans' related services or community support services; OR, any equivalent combination of training and/or experience. Must pass job related tests.
