| JOB SUMMARY: |
The Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration, support, security, and long-term management of the organization's environment with a focus on the Google Workspace environment. This role will initially focus on the successful integration of Google Workspace with Microsoft Azure and Entra ID to deliver a seamless and secure user experience. As the environment matures, the position will be involved in ongoing support, governance, security administration, and platform optimization efforts to ensure the reliability, performance, and adoption of Google Workspace services across the enterprise. | MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: |
- Knowledge of programming and networking at a level normally acquired through the completion of a four-year degree in computer science, information technology (IT) or related field.
- Four years' experience providing technical support for various operating systems, security systems, file structures, servers, and PC hardware.

| JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: |
- Troubleshoots server and network issues and develops appropriate solutions, resources, and deployment processes with minimal downtime.
- Plans and implements upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment installation.
- Ability to script and write basic programs to automate processes.
- Maintains and follows disaster recovery, security, backup, and restore plans.
- Evaluates new tools or equipment and perform analysis/feasibility studies to guide decisions on optimizing network performance.
- Provides advanced technical support and guidance to junior administrators and other staff.
- Analyzes performance of applications and technologies deployed on the enterprise network. Provides design change recommendations, cost estimates, and specifications to management and architects.
- Documents network configurations, changes, and updates.
- Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.

- Ability to read and understand technical documentation and exercise good judgment with little or no supervision in high stress situations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet multiple deadlines.
- Effectively interact with internal and external customers.
- Work effectively with highly specialized teams of information technology professionals to support services within MDU Electric Operations.
- Experience in systems administration, programming, and networking in a business environment.
- Understanding of and ability to maintain confidentiality of all company information.
- Provide leadership on large projects.

| PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: |
- Professional certifications in the assigned areas of responsibility such as Microsoft (Server, Azure, and M365) Oracle, CISCO, and VMware.
- Powershell scripting experience.
- Cloud infrastructure (IaaS) experience (Azure).
- Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) experience.
- SharePoint Online (SPO) experience.
- Familiarity with Linux operating system.

| ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: |
- Background Check, MVR and drug screen are required
- Ability to travel as needed to achieve objectives.
