Job Description




As a Security Guard Full Time Access Control in Mauldin, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points and alarm activity, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. This driving position requires a valid driver's license. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and support a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery drivers while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related responsibilities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, process areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations, reporting unusual conditions or hazards according to site procedures.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorization, and contractor entry requirements in accordance with established site policies.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate site personnel.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, access-related events, and other assigned duties.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
