Responsibilities

  • Develop new organic coating formulations and optimize electroplating bath chemistries specifically for fastener applications.
  • Lead testing protocols for corrosion resistance, including Salt Spray (ASTM B117), Kesternich, and cyclic corrosion testing.
  • Transition laboratory-scale formulations to high-volume manufacturing environments, such as dip-spin, barrel plating, or spray lines.
  • Analyze the interaction between chemical coatings and various steel grades to prevent hydrogen embrittlement and ensure optimal torque-tension relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with REACH, RoHS, and environmental standards while maintaining detailed technical documentation and SDS.

  • Mechanical Engineering Awareness or knowledge will be beneficial.
  • Good interpersonal skills to interface effectively with co-workers and management.
  • Ability to work with minimal direction in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess proficient Excel skills (including formulas, pivot tables, etc.)
