Position Description

Receive needed materials and parts, and ship finished products, in accordance with the production and shipping schedules.

Increase productivity through efficient and effective movement, set-up, and placement of materials used in manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

Technical:
1. Receive incoming materials and parts; verify incoming material against Purchase Order.
2. Enter appropriate information for proper receipt of arriving shipments and update inventory receipt information in M2M.
3. Assure materials and parts are properly identified before going into inventory and move materials and parts to the proper location.
4. Pick material and parts and position them on the assembly floor to support the production schedule.
5. Issue material from Pick List to jobs in M2M after making sure the inventory has been pulled for the job and moved to the proper location.
6. Inform others of potential inventory shortages that might hinder meeting a shipping schedule.
7. Perform routine cycle counts as requested by Material Coordinator.
8. Keep informed about the status of production and shipping schedules and be alert to the impact on job responsibilities in order to anticipate and correct problems.
9. Shipping of parts orders.

1. Develop and maintain working relationship with fellow employees in order to support CDI goals.
2. Perform duties in a manner that is sensitive to the needs of CDI internal and external customers (and the company vision of customer responsiveness and sensitivity).
3. Set a good example of personal integrity within the company and with external customers.
4. Communicate with Team Members and leaders to ascertain timing of material requirements.

Required Education & Qualifications

Education:
1. High school or equivalent.

Experience:
1. Experienced in using the computer in inventory and receiving tasks.
2. Be able to learn and use vendor software for shipping. Example UPS and FedEx.

Capabilities:
1. Skills and Abilities:
a. Ability to operate forklift and other small equipment.
b. Computer knowledge.

3. Physical Requirements:
a. Must be able to move inventory bins.
b. Requires some heavy lifting of items up to 50 pounds.
