The City of Wentzville's Municipal Court is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Court Associate. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the court while providing exceptional customer service to the public.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare cases for court dockets, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Process various court-related paperwork, including filings, orders, and judgments.
- Respond to public inquiries in a professional and courteous manner, providing accurate information and assistance.
- Issue warrants and official court letters as directed.
- Process payments for fines, court costs, and other fees.
- Perform general clerical duties, such as filing, data entry, and record keeping.
Weekly Schedule:
Monday - 11 a.m. - 4: 30 p.m. Tuesday - 8 a.m. to 4: 30 p.m. Wednesday - 11: 30 a.m. to 4: 30 p.m. Thursday - 11: 30 a.m. to 4: 30 p.m. Friday - 11 a.m. to 4: 30 p.m.
This is a part-time position not to exceed an average of 29 hours per week.

Job Qualifications Education, experience, and training that are required or desirable in order to effectively perform the job at the time of hire. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. Additional requirements and/or substitutions may be requested and require the approval of HR.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two years of related experience required. Additional job-related degrees or certifications may be considered in lieu of experience.
- Cash handling experience required.
- Municipal experience desired.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities May be representative, but not all-inclusive, of those knowledge, skills, and abilities commonly associated with this position.
- Knowledge of administrative and office procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and transcription, designing forms, and workplace terminology.
- Proficient keyboard skills.
- Basic accounting skills.
- Ability to follow clear and established processes.
- Ability to work independently with moderate supervision, and to deliver own work according to specific operational targets within the department.
- Ability to complete routine and more robust tasks assigned in a timely manner.
- Ability to provide exceptional service to internal and external customers. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with supervisors, co-workers, and customers by telephone, in writing, and in person.
- Ability to use good judgment and think rationally in difficult or stressful situations.
- Ability to develop goals and plans to prioritize and organize work to meet deadlines.
