Job Summary

The Human Resource Business Partner serves as a strategic advisor to department leaders, aligning human resource practices with organizational goals to enhance overall effectiveness. This position focuses on building strong relationships, providing tailored Human Resource solutions, and facilitating change management initiatives to foster a high-performing workplace culture.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Provide guidance and support on employee relations issues by facilitating conflict resolution and addressing concerns to promote a positive workplace environment.

Job Duty 2 -
Analyze workforce data and metrics to inform decision-making and recommend strategies for improving employee engagement and retention.

Job Duty 3 -
Coach managers on effective performance management practices, ensuring they have the tools to conduct evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

Job Duty 4 -
Lead change management efforts by developing communication plans and supporting teams through transitions to ensure smooth implementation of new initiatives.

Job Duty 5 -
Design and implement training programs that enhance employee skills and support professional development aligned with organizational objectives.

Job Duty 6 -
Assess and improve talent acquisition strategies by collaborating with hiring managers to attract and select top talent for various positions within the institution.

Job Duty 7 -
Monitor and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations by conducting regular audits and providing training to staff on relevant policies.

Job Duty 8 -
Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership that summarize Human Resource initiatives, metrics, and recommendations for continuous improvement in human resource practices

.Job Duty 9 -
Collaborate with department leaders to identify human resource needs and develop strategic initiatives that align with organizational goals.

Job Duty 10 -
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Required Qualifications
License to practice medicine in state of Georgia; Board certification in a primary specialty, e.g. Internal Medicine or Family Practice; current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification

Required Experience
Six or more years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Certifications through the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM)

Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master's Degree in a related discipline or equivalent.

Additional Preferred Experiences

  • Experience in higher education, research and development, government, healthcare, manufacturing, or other industry-specific environments, when applicable.
  • Professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR.
  • Master's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Public Administration or similar degree
  • 10+ years of progressive human resources experience, including experience in an HR Business Partner, Employee Relations, or HR Generalist role.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with senior leaders to develop and implement workforce strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
    Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Experience supporting organizational change initiatives, workforce planning, succession planning, and talent management programs.
  • Proven ability to analyze workforce data and metrics to identify trends and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Experience managing complex employee relations matters, investigations, and conflict resolution.
  • Excellent consulting, coaching, influence, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience supporting performance management and employee development programs.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-unit, or matrixed environment.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience with HRIS, talent management systems, and reporting tools such as Workday, PeopleSoft, SAP SuccessFactors, or Oracle HCM.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLS
This job requires advanced knowledge of human resource administrative policies and procedures as well as human resources related federal and state regulatory requirements; excellent interpersonal skills; ability to build strong professional and cross-functional relationships with organization management, staff, and campus units; excellent verbal and written communications and organization; working knowledge of common office applications and software.

Salary range is dependent on candidates experiences and skills that ranges from $99,096 - $120,000.
