Overview

HR Generalist

Join a growing healthcare organization making a meaningful impact. WVCI is seeking an experienced, proactive Human Resources Generalist to support a fast-paced healthcare organization with more than 400 employees. This role serves as a strategic and operational HR partner responsible for leave administration, ADA accommodation, benefits administration, compensation analysis, employee relations, talent acquisition support, and HR compliance.

The ideal candidate brings strong judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to operate independently in a highly regulated clinical environment. This position works closely with leaders and employees to provide guidance on HR policies, performance management, workforce planning, and employment practices while supporting organizational goals and maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

This position also supports the US Oncology Compliance Program, including adherence to the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

The general pay scale for this position at WVCI is $80,000-$90,000. The actual hiring rate is dependent on many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, education, job/position responsibilities, location, work performance, internal equity, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with leaders and employees to provide guidance on general HR-related duties, including performance management, policy administration, staffing, compliance, workforce planning, and employment practices in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Administer all aspects of leave management, including FMLA, OFLA, ADA accommodations, workers' compensation coordination, and other protected leaves.
  • Engage in the interactive process with employees and managers and maintain required documentation and compliance.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, retirement, life insurance, and leave benefits.
  • Conduct compensation reviews, market analysis, job evaluations, and wage recommendations to support internal equity and competitive pay practices.
  • Partner with payroll to resolve compensation, benefit, and HRIS-related issues.
  • Identifies barriers/core problems and applies problem solving skills in order to deal creatively with non-routine situations. May involve HR technical experts to troubleshoot and resolves issues. Determines and develops approach to solutions.
  • May perform work force analysis and recommendations on a variety of HR or payroll issues.
  • Support talent acquisition activities, including interviewing, candidate selection, onboarding, and workforce planning initiatives as needed.
  • Assist in developing and implementing employee engagement, retention, and recognition initiatives.
  • Conducts employee training on a variety of Human Resources topics. May develop training materials.
  • Coordinates employee separations, including preparation of documentation, HRIS processing, exit interviews, trend analysis, and compliance with company policy and employment laws.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including leave administration, ADA accommodations, benefits administration, compensation, recruiting support, and compliance required.
  • BS/BA in HR, Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of employment law, HR policies and practices, employee relations, benefits administration, compensation principles, performance management, and recruiting practices.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and followthrough.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
  • Professional judgment and discretion when handling sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting a multi-site healthcare organization preferred.
  • Experience with Workday or other enterprise HRIS systems preferred.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS), HRIS platforms, and Microsoft Office.
  • Healthcare experience strongly preferred.
