Under the general direction of the Associate Vice President of Radiology Operations, manages the daily operation of assigned areas within The Medical Center Radiology ASR Services. Oversees the scheduling and arrival registration functions including insurance verification, registration for unscheduled patients, and collection of patient liabilities.I. Major Responsibilities: 1. Designs, monitors and implements scheduling, registration, authorization guidelines, as well as collection of patient liabilities to ensure an accurate and efficient process for Radiology Service functions. 7. Works with Radiology to help establish contracted service agreements with outside agencies, such as Firefighters Program and Lung Cancer Screening Program 10 Establishes processes with Patient Access Center staff to ensure scheduling rules and guidelines are followed. Address scheduling process issues and concerns with Leadership to ensure resolution. 11. Oversee the critical results program (actionable findings), ensuring all providers remain compliant with results alerts and follow up. Standard Management Level Responsibilities: 1. Directs and supervises assigned personnel including performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation, and training. Makes recommendations on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, discipline, terminations, and similar actions. Resolves grievances and other personnel problems within position responsibilities. All responsibilities are essential job functions. II. Position Qualifications: License/Certification/Education: Experience/Skills: 2. Understanding of third-party payor and managed care requirements, procedures and regulations. 3 Understanding of primary, secondary and tertiary insurance requirements, procedures and regulations. 4. Demonstrated expertise in area of responsibility as well as the ability to solve complex problems. Ability to work in high volume, team-oriented environment. Ability to take directions and work independently. 6. Excellent communication, analytical skills, interpersonal skills, and strong organization skills. 7. Flexibility of schedule. Preferred: Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements. Department-specific competencies, including age-specific competencies and their measurements, will be developed and maintained in the individual departments. The competencies will be maintained and attached to the departmental job description.Responsible managers will review competencies with position incumbents. III. Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions: Work is considered sedentary. Position requires work indoors in a normal office environment.
