Advanced Practice Provider Pediatric Hematology & Oncology

Seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for the inpatient Hematology/Oncology team at Rainbow Babies and Children's hospital. The APP will provide onsite care of admitted patients under supervision of attending pediatric hematology/oncology physician (offsite), admitting patients, order entry, and documentation. The schedule is Nights (5:30p-6:30a) and weekends(6:30a-5:30p). APP and pediatric hematology/oncology experience preferred but not required. Pediatric NP or Family NP required.

A Brief Overview

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for providing quality care for patients and increasing patient access and satisfaction. Standard tasks to be performed by an Advanced Practice Provider as specified by the Ohio State Board of Medicine or Nursing and UH entity specific Medical Bylaws.

• Contributes to the educational development of staff, patients, family and self
• Demonstrates progressive leadership and effective management
• Provides education through role modeling and in-services to meet identified learning needs and to promote professionalism
• Advances own professional development through self-directed learning, continuing education and participation in peer review

• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
