Tesla's Vehicle Manufacturing Engineering team is seeking a highly motivated Quality Manufacturing professional to strengthen the quality and global structure of our internal systems across Tesla programs. This role is hyper-focused on standardization, system optimization, global alignment, and robust documentation to better serve Tesla's mission of building a world of amazing abundance. You will act as a key liaison between local factory teams and the globalvehicle manufacturing quality team, partnering with a wide variety of groups across the business and factories. What You'll Do
- Drive standardization, optimization, and global alignment of quality manufacturing systems, processes, and documentation across programs and factories
- Act as the primary liaison between local factory quality/manufacturing teams, ensuring clear communication, feedback loops, and consistent execution
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Production, Design, Factory Software, and others) across multiple sites to identify opportunities for system improvements that enhance quality and operational excellence
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve standard operating procedures, best practices, training materials, technical documentation, and global process frameworks
- Collect, analyze, and synthesize quality and process data to support system-level optimizations, root-cause efforts, and data-driven decisions that serve both factory needs and global standards
- Support process validation, continuous improvement initiatives, and change management activities that scale quality systems effectively across programs and locations
- Facilitate knowledge sharing, audits of system adherence, and alignment activities between sites to ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes worldwide
- Execute requests and projects with a dual focus-delivering for local factory "customers" while advancing the global quality mission-and communicate findings and recommendations clearly to diverse stakeholders
What You'll Bring
- Strong background (ideally 1-2+years) in quality manufacturing, process systems, or related roles within a high-volume, multi-site manufacturing environment (vehicle or complex industrial preferred)
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and visualization using MS Excel and other business systems; familiarity withSPLUNK or MySQL is a plus
- Demonstrated expertise or passion for standardization, system optimization, global process alignment, and creating clear, usable documentation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills: high energy, positive attitude, active listening, ability to understand and translate technical verbiage, and skill at building trust across teams and organizational levels
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups across factories and business functions while balancing local needs with global/system-level priorities
- Solid analytical skills for reviewing process/quality data, identifying trends, and supporting continuous improvement with a practical, results-oriented approach
- Experience developing or improving technical documentation, standards, or training materials; proficiency with common business systems and tools (Excel and collaboration platforms essential)
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-directed, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel to factories and other sites as needed to build relationships, gather insights, and drive alignment
- Growth mindset and excitement for expanding into broader areas of Tesla's Vehicle Manufacturing and Quality organizations
