About the Role

As a Fraud Prevention Analyst, you will play a key role in protecting financial institutions and their customers from fraud, scams, and other malicious activity. You will investigate reported fraud events, identify trends and emerging threats, collaborate with clients and internal teams, and help develop solutions that strengthen fraud defenses across our Digital Banking platform.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem solving, data analysis, client interaction, and staying ahead of evolving fraud tactics.

About the Team

The Digital Fraud and Security team supports fraud prevention efforts across FIS Digital Banking solutions. We are a collaborative, high-performing team dedicated to protecting our clients while delivering exceptional service and support. Our team partners closely with financial institutions, product teams, engineering teams, and security professionals to identify fraud risks, investigate incidents, and continuously improve fraud detection and prevention capabilities.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for fraud-related client inquiries and investigations.

  • Investigate reported fraud cases, suspicious activity, account compromise events, and emerging scam trends.

  • Analyze transaction, behavioral, and platform data to identify fraud patterns and root causes.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to investigate incidents and implement risk mitigation strategies.

  • Communicate investigation findings, recommendations, and resolutions to clients and internal teams.

  • Monitor fraud trends and develop an understanding of fraudster tactics, techniques, and procedures.

  • Support the development and enhancement of fraud prevention controls and processes.

  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current on fraud trends, digital banking technologies, and security best practices.

  • Contribute to initiatives that improve client experience while reducing fraud risk.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

  • Experience investigating fraud, financial crimes, account takeover, scams, or related risk events.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to evaluate information from multiple systems and data sources to reach informed conclusions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience working directly with clients, customers, or business partners.

  • Understanding of digital banking, online banking, financial services, or payment systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in fraud operations, financial services, risk management, cybersecurity, or digital banking.

  • Knowledge of fraud detection tools, behavioral analytics, device intelligence, or account takeover prevention.

  • Experience analyzing large datasets and identifying trends.

  • Familiarity with online banking platforms and fraud mitigation strategies.

Work Environment

  • Candidate must maintain a secure, private workspace suitable for handling confidential client information.

  • Reliable high-speed internet connection with ethernet capability required.

  • Initial training conducted virtually Monday through Friday.

  • Full-time schedule following training, working an eight-hour shift between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM Central Time.
