Cardiology Hospitalist

MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center is seeking aBoard-Certified/Board-Eligible Cardiology Hospitalistto join our collaborative cardiovascular team in Baltimore, Maryland. This is an exceptional opportunity to practice inpatient cardiology in a well-established program while working alongside experienced Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), cardiologists, surgeons, intensivists, and multidisciplinary care teams.

Position Highlights

The Cardiology Hospitalist will provide comprehensive inpatient cardiovascular care, including:

• Managing inpatient cardiology services in collaboration with APPs
• Performing inpatient consultations,
• Rounding on hospitalized cardiology patients
• Coordinating care with interventional cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, intensivists, hospitalists, and other specialists
• Caring for patients with complex cardiovascular conditions
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives and efforts to optimize patient care delivery
• Contributing to physician and staff education

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
• Echocardiography, and Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) training required
• Strong clinical expertise in the management of complex cardiac patients
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams
• Eligible to work in the United States
• A demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centered care
