Koch Fertilizer has two summer 2027 opportunities available in Enid, Oklahoma:

    • Process Engineering Intern within our Engineering team
    • Process Controls Intern within our Engineering team
    The internship opportunity will be a 12-week program running from late May to mid-August 2027.

    What You Will Do

    • Partner with operations, process engineers, process controls engineers, and instrumentation technicians to troubleshoot process challenges and identify opportunities to improve plant performance, reliability, and efficiency.
    • Support process optimization initiatives through data analysis, engineering evaluations, and implementation of operational improvements.
    • Assist with the design, programming, and enhancement of process control systems, including control loops, graphics, and operator interfaces.
    • Review and develop engineering deliverables such as Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), equipment datasheets, and process calculations.
    • Contribute to process safety and operational excellence by participating in Management of Change (MOC) activities, process hazard reviews, troubleshooting efforts, and continuous improvement projects.

    Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

    • Currently enrolled in a degree, certificate, or workforce training program in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation and Controls, or other related field
    • Eligible for full-time employment before or by May 2029
    • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.

    What Will Put You Ahead

    • Experience in process controls, projects, or process safety management
    • Equipment and plant design experience (relief valves, pumps, tanks, vessels, etc.)
    • Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) or Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), such as DeltaV
    • Internship or co-op experience in process industry/manufacturing
