Location: Annapolis, MD 810 Bestgate Road, Suite 400

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM

Duration: 4 months

Job Summary

We are seeking a Phlebotomist I to join a fast-paced patient service center in Annapolis, MD. The position will primarily focus on blood draws and site flow processing, while providing excellent customer service and working collaboratively with the team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform approximately 25-30 blood draws per day.
  • Perform venipuncture and successfully collect blood specimens from patients.
  • Handle hard/difficult draws using appropriate phlebotomy techniques.
  • Support site flow processing and specimen processing activities.
  • Ensure proper patient identification and specimen labeling.
  • Provide professional and compassionate customer service to patients.
  • Maintain effective communication with patients and team members.
  • Follow established procedures for specimen collection and handling.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Utilize computer systems for documentation and other job-related tasks.
  • Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Remain standing for approximately 6 hours per shift.
  • Complete required 2-week training at the start of the assignment.
  • Follow all applicable safety, infection control, and laboratory procedures.


Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Phlebotomy certification/qualification required
  • Ability to successfully perform patient blood draws
  • Strong phlebotomy skills, including experience with difficult draws
  • Good customer service and communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced setting
