The Division Administrative Director for the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery is an exciting opportunity to lead a high-impact Department of Surgery Division that is at the forefront of innovation in surgical care. As a strategic partner to division chief and the Department of Surgery Director of Finance & Administration, you'll manage a diverse portfolio of responsibilities, from multimillion-dollar budgets and faculty affairs, to program development and strategic planning, all while driving process improvements and supporting cutting-edge clinical programs. Day-to-day, you'll collaborate with faculty, leadership, and community practice teams to ensure operational excellence across inpatient and outpatient settings. You'll lead initiatives that enhance patient care delivery, support faculty recruitment and development, and expand the divisions' footprint through new ventures and partnerships. This is a dynamic, high-visibility role that offers the chance to make a lasting impact on the Department of Surgery, School of Medicine and the broader healthcare community. Sample Key Responsibilities:
Lead the administrative, financial, and operational management of a complex academic medical division, overseeing multiple funding sources, clinical operations, and strategic initiatives. Direct financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting across state, clinical, research, gift, endowment, and hospital-based funds while ensuring fiscal accountability. Manage faculty practice plan finances and clinical revenue operations, including oversight of physician billing, collections, and financial performance. Ensure compliance with university, hospital, state, federal, and healthcare regulatory policies related to finance, personnel, clinical operations, and physician practice management. Oversee faculty affairs, including appointments, promotions, tenure, credentialing, and academic program administration, while supporting accreditation and reporting requirements. Lead human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, staff development, employee relations, and direct supervision of administrative support staff. Drive operational excellence by leading process improvement initiatives, coordinating administrative, clinical, research, and educational programs, and supporting implementation of new initiatives. Manage divisional communications, reporting, meetings, websites, and stakeholder engagement to support organizational goals and transparency. Oversee purchasing, procurement, facilities, space planning, leases, capital projects, and operational resources across multiple clinical and research locations. Partner with leadership to develop strategic business plans, expand clinical and research programs, evaluate new business opportunities, and support long-range organizational growth. Build collaborative relationships with university, hospital, and external partners while representing the division on committees, task forces, and community initiatives. Support fundraising, donor engagement, special events, and strategic planning efforts to advance the division's financial sustainability and mission.

Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings. |

Qualifications: |
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution. 6-8 years of experience in a manager/leadership role in an academic, healthcare, or closely related environment.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Preferred Qualifications:
A master's degree from an accredited college or university in business/public/health administration, accounting, finance or closely related. Experience managing all aspects of a complex organization, including (but not limited to) operations, finance and Human Resources 6-8 years of experience in managing multiple staff including hiring and evaluations of staff. Experience developing complex financial models to include provider and practice proformas, incentive calculations, reimbursement analysis for example. Advanced skills in Excel including use of business intelligence tools

Ability to plan and organize, implement and coordinate financial and administrative activities, as they apply to the complex workings of the Division.

Anticipated Pay Range: |
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $114,975-$154,066. The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
