The West Virginia University (WVU) School of Public Health invites applicants for one 9-month tenure-track faculty members at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor to join the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences. This is an opportunity to contribute to innovative teaching and research in a diverse academic environment. The Department currently includes 8 full-time faculty members with expertise and interests in substance use, maternal and child health, violence and injury prevention, mental health, cardiovascular disease, and health analytics. The department offers a PhD and MPH concentration in Social and Behavioral Sciences, in addition to supporting the school's Public Health Sciences online MPH program and the on-campus BS program. Our diverse faculty partner with many agencies and organizations, including the West Virginia (WV) Clinical and Translational Science Institute, Health Affairs Institute, the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center, the WV Prevention Research Center, the WVU School of Medicine, Monongalia County Health Department and various offices within WV Department of Health and Human Resources, including the WV Bureaus for Medical Services, Public Health and Behavioral Health. The CEPH-accredited School of Public Health is located within WVU's Health Sciences Center campus in Morgantown, which is uniquely co-located with WVU Medicine's flagship hospital, and a regional office of CDC/NIOSH.
