Job Description




As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Blanch, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer supporting a government corrections location. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. This driving post requires a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Bring integrity, reliability, and teamwork to a caring, innovative organization.

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, perimeter areas, and parking locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, vehicle, and/or contractor activity in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and coordinating with appropriate personnel and emergency responders.
  • Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation, and maintain professional communication with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
