Manager, Category Management & Strategic Sourcing (74) - Remote

This role is responsible for collaborating with Business Owners, Technology Teams, Finance and Legal departments in the development and ongoing assessment of IT vendor relationships. This role will develop, implement, and maintain appropriate processes and procedures to ensure efficient oversight of the Company's IT vendors and vendor lifecycle.

JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Lead Complex, enterprise-wide sourcing initiatives and contract negotiations.
2. Conduct market research and maintain a working knowledge of current business trends including industry changes, cost drivers, pricing, market conditions, and economic indicators in order to identify new and/or alternate sources of supply, as needed.
3. Conduct ongoing benchmark reviews and perform complex financial analysis, projections and evaluations of vendor proposals for existing and new contracts
4. Influence and drive collaboration between cross-functional stakeholders for the development and execution of enterprise sourcing strategies to identify cost savings opportunities and facilitate strong partnerships between Claritev and its strategic vendors.
5. Research and qualify potential new vendors that have the ability to support organizational needs. Assess vendor's products and services. Negotiate pricing and contract terms.
6. Responsible for vendor lifecycle management, cultivating and maintaining new and existing relationships between the organization, business owners and vendors. Establish standards to assess the performance of approved vendors.
7. Review processes and procedures and support ongoing vendor lifecycle enhancement projects. Evaluate current vendor management processes and identify ways to improve them
8. Develop and ensure proper agreements (Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, etc.) are in place with vendors that adhere to internal, client and regulatory standards.
9. Develop and issue Request for Information (RFI) and/or Request for Proposal (RFP) to tie current company priorities to potential vendors. Ensure that:
o vendor is a viable, reliable business partner via a thorough due diligence process.
o vendors are compliant in meeting the terms of the contract, and that remedies are in place for vendor non-compliance to the terms of contract
o processes are in place to effectively measure vendor performance against contract
10. Develop vendor metrics and monthly status reports; review, track, monitor and report on vendor results; identify, track and resolve issues by proposing viable solutions.
11. Establish and manage vendor project meetings, internal stakeholder surveys, business reviews to gauge vendor performance. Identify and resolve any issues and concerns as necessary. Prepare an issue escalation process to quickly and effectively address vendor performance issues.
12. Establish and cultivate strong working relationships with all vendors and stakeholders to ensure that vendors are meeting contract provisions and providing cost effective solutions.
13. Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments.
14. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements.
15. Ensure compliance to Claritev security provisions.
16. Demonstrate commitment to the Company's core values.

JOB SCOPE

This role is considered to be an established and experienced professional who knows and actively applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures. This role works under minimal supervision and is a self-directed and results oriented manager. The incumbent will rely upon an expert understanding of roles and responsibilities of the position to independently complete tasks while remaining within established standards and procedures.

JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, and Training):

* Minimum High School Diploma and 6 years of related experience; advanced degree in a related field is strongly preferred. Experience in Information Technology, Healthcare Services, Managed Care or Health Insurance preferred.
* Category management experience in Information Technology categories of Hardware, Software, SaaS, Cloud, Telecom, Network, and Infrastructure.
* Experience with vendor lifecycle management and knowledge of vendor contracting and management principles
* Experience writing and/or supporting Requests for Information/Requests for Proposals, Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, and Service Contracts
* Experience interpreting, evaluating, negotiating, and terminating complex IT contracts in a professional manner
* Experience performance-managing a remote vendor workforce desired
* Communication (oral, written and listening), project management, analytic, organization, interpersonal, collaborative, prioritization, multi-tasking, planning, negotiation, change management, technology, and financial acumen skills.
* Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and employee, both internal and external.
* Ability to work independently as well as be a team player who takes a collaborative approach
* Ability to facilitate teams and relationships to satisfy needs and identify improvements
* Ability to demonstrate commitment to excellent customer service and follow-through
* Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects including continuous evaluation and re-ordering of priorities as business needs dictate
* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal stakeholders and vendors
* Ability to be flexible and creative in problem solving, conflict resolution, and identifying process improvements
* Ability to use software and peripherals related to job responsibilities, including MS Office
* Ability to adhere to corporate work ethic standards
* Handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality
* Individual in this position must be able to work in a standard office environment which requires sitting and viewing monitor(s) for extended periods, operating standard office equipment such as, but not limited to, a keyboard, copier and telephone.
* SAP Ariba experience is preferred.
* Project Management Certification (PMP) preferred

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this position is $105k-$120k. Specific offers take into account a candidate's education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate's work location and internal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity.
