Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced technical tasks to support engineering projects, including conducting tests, measurements, and data collection for DOE, DOD, and commercial projects.
- Assist engineers and scientists in preparing complex technical documentation, including schematics, blueprints, and reports.
- Oversee the assembly, installation, and testing of engineering systems and prototypes.
- Maintain and troubleshoot advanced technical equipment, ensuring proper functionality and calibration.
- Lead fieldwork activities such as surveys, inspections, and testing, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians and engineering staff.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations while on-site or in the lab.
- Collaborate with engineers and other departments to troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve technical challenges.
- Flexibility required. Within reason, changes to directives, assigned responsibilities, or work-related activities may be necessary at any time to respond to shifts in working conditions, opportunities, or company objectives.
Education, Experience and Requirements
- Associate degree in Engineering Technology or a related field (required) or equivalent combination of education and experience; Bachelor's degree (preferred).
- 5 years of experience in an engineering technician role (required), with experience in government projects or highly regulated environments (preferred).
- Relevant technical certifications in equipment operation or safety (preferred).
- Proficiency in using engineering software, equipment, and tools. Knowledge of DOE, DOD, or commercial project standards (preferred).
- Employment is contingent upon an employee's ability to pass a background check and comply with CTI's drug and alcohol testing policy, including pre-employment and, where applicable, random or other testing during employment.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
- Must be able to travel on a full-time basis.
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements.
