Job Title: ServiceNow Developer

Location(s): Richmond, VA
(Hybrid 3 days per week)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, and enhance scalable solutions across the ServiceNow platform. The role focuses on secure API integrations, custom application development, intuitive user experiences, and IT Service Management (ITSM).

Experience with additional ServiceNow modules, platform domains, AI, and automation is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain ServiceNow applications and platform enhancements.
  • Build secure and reliable integrations using REST, SOAP, webhooks, IntegrationHub, MID Server, and related technologies.
  • Develop scripted REST APIs, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and Flow Designer workflows.
  • Configure and extend ITSM capabilities, including:
    • Incident Management
    • Problem Management
    • Change Management
    • Request Management
    • Knowledge Management
    • Service Catalog
    • CMDB
  • Create intuitive and accessible user experiences across Employee Center, Service Portal, Workspaces, forms, catalogs, and mobile applications.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, architects, and support teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot complex ServiceNow platform, integration, data, and performance issues.
  • Follow development standards, security controls, automated testing, code review, source control, and release-management practices.
  • Develop reusable components and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Support ServiceNow upgrades, releases, and ongoing platform improvements.
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities for AI, automation, and process optimization.
Required / Desired Skills
Candidates should demonstrate strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow development, configuration, integrations, ITSM, scripting, and platform customization. Experience with ServiceNow AI capabilities, automation, and additional ServiceNow domains is a plus.
