Overview
Texas Oncology is offering a unique opportunity for recent Registered Nursing graduates seeking a full-time, Winter Nurse Residency position. The residency cohort will begin in January 2027 in the Dallas-Fort Worth regional area. The residency program is 10 weeks in length and includes both didactic and clinical components. The first 2 weeks of the program (didactic component) will be hosted in Dallas with all expenses covered by Texas Oncology; the remaining 8 weeks of the program (clinical component) will be based at designated site in the Dallas-Fort Worth regional area. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30-5:00pm with weekend and major holidays off. Upon successful completion of the residency program, residents have the option of transferring to a site within one of our other geographic regions, if desired (based on position availability). The ideal candidate will be an upcoming or recent graduate from an accredited BSN program and be a licensed RN in the state of Texas prior to the completion of the residency program. What You Will Do as a Nurse Resident Under general supervision, Registered Nurse Residents provide professional nursing care for patients adhering to national and company standards and guidelines for specialty regulations; must recognize physical, psychological, and spiritual aspects of care and participate in company-wide quality initiatives; support and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
