Job Description:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1.Stage raw materials for blending operation on FIFO basis
2.Blend PTFE and Isopar to the specified instructions
3.Pour PTFE blends through screen into jugs, then weigh jugs
4.Enter all blends into WW3, place tags on jugs and brush off excess blend
5.Transfer jugs to the hot room and stage for extrusion
6.Transfer empty jugs to be cleaned
7.Wash jugs on a rotating basis
8.Change Isopar filters when needed
9.Unload PTFE from truck to cold room
10.Maintain work area in clean and orderly fashion, follow 5S practices
11.Know and practice all safety regulations and quality guidelines
12.Report production issues to Direct Lead
13.Perform work of an equal or lower classification
14.Perform related and other duties assigned by the Value Stream Team Lead.

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC/NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures, and in a manner that eliminates unreasonable risk to health and the environment. Notify management of unsafe conditions or practices, unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk. Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to management immediately.
2.Prevent excess waste of product and/or components by operating the equipment in an efficient manner.
3.Participate in peer-based teams (i.e., Natural High Performance Teams), and work with groups to initiate and implement programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5-S.
4.Other duties may be assigned at a later time

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS/SCOPE:

*Report directly to Value Stream Team Leader
*Work closely with Maintenance to resolve issues with the equipment

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The employee may be subject to:

*High noise levels from operating machines and equipment.
*Physical hazards from operating machines and moving reels.
*Extreme temperature (Cold Room)

1.Work in areas where safety equipment will be required (steel toe shoes, eye protection, hearing protection)
2.Standing is required for extended periods of time. Walking, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, turning, twisting, squatting, and lifting is performed on a regular basis
3.Requires high degree of manual dexterity, which could be performed under restrictive conditions
4.Requires flexible hours and short notice for overtime.
