NDT Level III Inspector with Career Path Progression to NDT Supervisor
Job Overview Title: NDT Level III Inspector Reports to: Value Stream Manager Location: Kent, WA Type: Non-Exempt, Full-Time Schedule Type: Monday - Friday day shift; ability to work occasional overtime or during an off shift when needed. Position Summary This is a Level III Inspector position in our Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) department. Employees in this position are certified as an NDT Level III Inspector with a clear career path to supervisory responsibilities within approximately 12-24 months. The successful candidate will need to recertify for Hytek as a Level III certified inspector under the guidance of the Responsible Level III. After certification, the candidate will continue developing technical and leadership skills to prepare for promotion to eventual supervision of the NDT department as part of our succession plan. Essential Mental/Physical Demands The role requires the ability to perform physically active manufacturing work, including occasional heavy lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, reaching, bending, climbing, twisting, and other body movements. The employee must be able to stand and walk frequently, use hands for grasping and handling tasks, and maintain constant sensory awareness through sight, hearing, and touch. Work may involve exposure to mechanical equipment, airborne particles, chemical fumes, and variable temperatures, with required use of company-provided personal protective equipment. Salary Range for NDT Level III position: $44.25 - $57.75 (non-exempt) Salary Range for Responsible NDT Level III Supervisory position: $115,000 - $130,000 (exempt) The pay range and total compensation package listed above is the expected pay offered for this position at the start of employment. Your pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to your relevant experience/level, experience level, and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other employees.
