Overview
Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers our cloud services. As a Metro Construction EHS Manager, you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure andfoundationtechnologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, XBOX, OneDrive, plus the Microsoft Azure platform. The Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) business is critical to delivering on this mission and vision, building and operating Microsoft's cloud infrastructure, which is growing rapidly in response to unprecedented demand for Microsoft services. CO+I operates one of the largest cloud networks on the planet - comprised of more than 160 Datacenters, 130+ edge sites, 2+ million miles of fiber, and millions of servers and network and storagedevices. The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team is seeking a Metro Construction EHS Manager with the passion to drive value and consistency across complex supplier partnerships. Strong analytical skills, using data to design processes that scale, effective collaboration across internal and external stakeholders, and the drive to continuously improve and achieve business objectives will be critical to success in this role. This position will support projects in San Jose, California Relocation assistance may be considered for this position. The candidate selected for this role is expected to report to the San Jose project sites daily. Responsibilities As a Metro Construction EHS Manager, some of the skills that will contribute to your success in meeting performance objectives include: * With minimal guidance: develop, own and drive process improvement in the EHS framework within CO+I construction organizations to deliver key results that align with organizational goals. The successful candidate will have proven leadership and subject matter expertise within the following areas: Qualifications * A bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, a related science/engineering discipline, or other applicable fields of study. * Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST), Construction Health and Safety Technologist (CHST) or other recognized industry professional certification. Background Check Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $125,000 - $206,400 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
