The Collections Specialist provides support to Sun Loan customers and branch offices from a centralized call center located in San Antonio, TX.


As a Collections Specialist, you will take a mix of inbound and outbound calls while collecting on past due or delinquent accounts. By building a strong rapport with your customer, you will be able to make an impact on the business. Your passion for customer service and inner competitiveness will allow you to excel in our fast-paced environment.


*Candidates local to the San Antonio market are preferred.


Responsibilities/Requirements:



  • Call center environment that requires superior phone-based customer interaction (~90% outbound and ~10% inbound calls).
  • Communicates with customers in a metrics-driven environment.
  • Conducts skip tracing for overdue accounts not resolved with current information.
  • Reviews assigned past due accounts to determine options to bring account current.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication, negotiation and decision-making skills.
  • Navigates multiple technologies while demonstrating resiliency and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.


Requirements:



  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a call center environment.
  • 1+ years' experience in collections preferred.
  • Some college preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.



Work Schedule:



  • 10am - 7pm Monday - Friday
  • 2 Saturdays/month Possibly more as determined by the specific needs of the business
  • 4-week paid training (8am - 5pm). Training hours may not coincide with your assigned schedule.
