Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-7:00 PM, with shifts scheduled within this timeframe

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and certified Phlebotomist Floater to support multiple patient service locations and accounts in the Katy/Houston area. The ideal candidate will be comfortable traveling between IOP and PSC locations, performing high-volume blood collections, processing specimens, and working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel between assigned accounts and patient service locations as needed.
- Perform approximately 30-90 blood draws per day.
- Perform venipuncture and blood specimen collection on pediatric, geriatric, and adult patients.
- Collect, label, process, and prepare specimens accurately according to established procedures.
- Verify patient identification and ensure proper specimen documentation.
- Provide professional and compassionate patient care during the collection process.
- Work independently while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all laboratory, safety, infection-control, and specimen-handling procedures.
- Remain standing for the majority of the shift.
- Adapt to different work locations, patient volumes, and daily operational needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and assigned teams.
- Support IOP/PSC operations as required.
Required Qualifications
- Phlebotomy certification required.
- Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience.
- Experience performing blood draws on all age groups, including pediatric and geriatric patients.
- Ability to perform 30-90 blood draws per day in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong venipuncture and specimen-processing skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel between assigned accounts.
- Strong communication and patient-service skills.
- Ability to work Monday-Friday within the 7:30 AM-7:00 PM scheduling window.
Work Environment
- Fast-paced environment.
- Floater position requiring travel between accounts.
- Work may be performed at IOP and PSC locations.
- Candidate will primarily work independently.
- Majority of the shift will be spent standing.
- No specialty procedures indicated.
Training
- Approximately 1 week of training is required at the start of the assignment.
- Training/reporting location: 7207 N Gessner Road, Houston, TX 77040.
Disqualifiers
Candidates may be disqualified for:
- No-show or poor attendance/reliability.
- Poor communication.
- Lack of required phlebotomy experience.
- Inability to travel between assigned accounts.
- Inability to work the required schedule.
