Location: Moody Outpatient Center DAY SHIFT PRN Position Primary Purpose Provides debridement and wound care to patients to decrease complications, speed healing time, and assist in maximum recovery for patients. MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS Education: Must have completed or hold one of the following: Two (2) years of experience in a Med/Surg environment A formal nurse aide course A current certified nurse aide registry A medical assistant course A current medical assistant certificate A patient care technician course A current patient care technician certificate Must be a currently enrolled in an accredited school of professional nursing and must have documentation of basic fundamentals of nursing from the school Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing Parkland's job specific training program Experience: Previous experience as a wound care technician preferred. Equivalent Education and/or Experience Certification/Registration/Licensure: Must have current heartsaver provider CPR course completion card within 30 American Heart Association American Red Cross Military Training Network Skills or Special Abilities: Must be able to successfully complete all department assigned competencies. Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively with patients, families, medical staff and hospital personnel. Must be able to document care given in the medical record. Must be able to demonstrate patient centered/patient valued behaviors. Must have good fine motor and manual dexterity skills. Requisition ID: 989864
