SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE:
Seeking an Electronic Avionics Technician to diagnose, test, troubleshoot, and repair aviation electronic equipment at the SRU and component level. This role requires experience with electronic test equipment, schematic interpretation, soldering, and FAA-compliant repair processes.
Key Responsibilities
*Test, troubleshoot, and repair avionics components and systems.
*Perform inspections, disassembly, cleaning, repair, and reassembly of units.
*Use DVMs, oscilloscopes, frequency generators, and other test equipment to isolate faults.
*Read and interpret schematics, block diagrams, and Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs).
*Perform soldering, wiring, crimping, connector repairs, and harness work.
*Document repairs and maintain accurate ERP/work order records.
*Ensure compliance with FAA, quality, safety, and environmental requirements.
*Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain high customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
*High School Diploma or GED required.
*Experience in electronics troubleshooting, repair, and testing.
*Knowledge of FAA regulations, CMM requirements, and electronic diagnostic tools.
*Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
*Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
*Knowledge of Lean, 5S, or Kaizen is a plus.
Experience Levels
*Technician I: 0-2 years
*Technician II: 2+ years
*Technician III: 5+ years
*Technician IV: 8+ years
Preferred Skills
*Component-level troubleshooting
*Surface-mount and through-hole soldering
*Power supply and digital electronics knowledge
*Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
*Training and mentoring experience (Level III/IV)
