Now Hiring: Principal Trade & Customs Compliance Specialist

Location: Fountain Valley, CA

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

We are seeking a detail-oriented Trade & Customs Compliance Specialist to support global import compliance, customs operations, and trade programs. This temporary role is ideal for professionals with experience in customs compliance, international trade, import/export operations, logistics, or customs brokerage.

Job Duties



  • Manage tariff classifications and maintain import compliance records for automotive parts and related products.
  • Support U.S. Customs compliance activities, audits, regulatory inquiries, and trade program requirements.
  • Administer Free Trade Agreement programs, including USMCA and other duty savings initiatives.
  • Review import documentation, monitor customs activities, and identify compliance risks.
  • Conduct compliance audits and support supply chain security programs.
  • Analyze customs data, reporting metrics, and duty recovery opportunities.
  • Partner with customs brokers, legal teams, logistics providers, and internal departments to resolve trade compliance issues.
  • Assist with process improvements, system enhancements, and compliance reporting projects.



Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Logistics, Trade Compliance, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in customs compliance, trade compliance, import operations, customs brokerage, or international logistics.
  • Knowledge of tariff classification, customs regulations, import documentation, audits, and trade agreements.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, formulas, and large data analysis.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Customs Broker License and automotive industry experience are preferred.



Physical Requirements



  • Office environment with light physical activity.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and lift up to 5 pounds occasionally.
  • Less than 5% travel required.

The base pay range listed reflects what we reasonably expect to offer for this role. Actual pay may vary based on location, experience, and performance.
