Job Duties Lead steering wheel engineering projects from concept, design, validation, and production launch through ongoing product support Develop technical specifications, packaging requirements, and engineering releases Collaborate with design, safety, interior, and user experience teams to optimize product performance, quality, and cost Partner with suppliers to manage engineering development, deliverables, and program timelines Support crash testing, product validation, and vehicle safety compliance activities Review component designs, identify improvements, and resolve technical issues Drive root cause analysis and implement effective engineering solutions Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline Experience Requirements 5+ years of automotive product development experience Experience with steering wheels, restraint systems, interior components, mechatronics, or related automotive systems Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack analysis, and manufacturing processes Experience supporting products through the full development lifecycle CAD proficiency and strong mechanical engineering fundamentals Experience managing suppliers and driving technical projects Strong communication and problem-solving skills Benefits Medical, dental, vision, and pet insurance 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Commuter/Parking Accounts People Perks Health Savings Account (HSA) AD&D Insurance If you're ready to apply your automotive engineering expertise while contributing to innovative vehicle programs, this opportunity could be the perfect fit.
